Chalk it up

By: Marissa Guessford, 10

Drawing up a storm, the Art Club is preparing for Chalkfest, set to take place on March 26th at Marshall High School.
Chalkfest is a two hour sidewalk chalk competition between art students throughout NISD. The finished piece will be an eight by eight foot chalk drawing abiding by this year’s theme, “Jazzy Cats.”
Though challenging, the Art Club has been developing impressive drafts and displaying efforts of teamwork for weeks in hopes of producing an admirable final product for competition.
