Warren CTE Construction begins the construction of their 4th house as students receive necessary certifications.

Chase Haecker is the Warren Career Technology Education teacher which oversees the production of houses for Habitats for Humanity.

“Principles of construction just finished their 1st House construction for Habitats for Humanity, our 4th for (the) year,” Mr. Hacker said.

Students have also completed certifications necessary to obtain a job in construction.

“All CTE Construction Technology students received their OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) 10 certification,” Mr. Haecker said. “And principles of construction students received their NIOSH (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health) certification.”

Mr. Haecker has won grants as big as $20,000 to fund student projects.

“I would say combined...maybe close to $40,000 total,” Mr. Haecker said. “And all that has been and is being used for materials, tools, and items for the students and classes to enrich the project experience.”
